Did you open your gift already? I hope so! If you did, you have confidence in the life eternal with our Heavenly Father…. and He hears you…. not because of you, but because of His Son.
Not because of what you do….but because you believe
Even if you opened your gift today, yesterday…10 years ago…the gift is the same for all…who are true believers and the gift is so beautiful…that as you move through your days, after opening the gift, as you grow your relationship with Him, because you love him….not to earn his love….the gift will grow beyond anything you ever imagined!
Love you, friends! I pray that you focus on this…during this time of year that can be stressful. Take this time…to focus on the eternal…..that one special gift that never loses it’s value, never needs batteries, never needs an upgrade, it won’t break or tear…..and it’s beauty is beyond that of the most precious jewels or metals…..
1 John 5: 13-15
13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

Beautiful, Rebecca! What a Gift we were given and it is sad how many people get so wrapped up in the secular and commercial traps of the season and overlook the most precious Gift that was ever given. Awesome reminder.
Thank you and many blessings, my friend!
Lisa
Sweet Blessings to you!!! It is a beautiful gift…and the more we open…the more we see and receive the freedom and beauty He has to offer us! HUGS!
Yes, I am struggling to stay focused on the eternal. To realize that the overwhelming aspects of life now really are “light and momentary troubles” compared to the glory we will experience for eternity. Thanks for the beautiful reminder. As so often happens, our posts are corresponding nicely.
Jennifer, so many of us are struggling. We have the right now…the temporal…RIGHT in front of us….the eternal…it’s not glaring at us to pay the bill, the Dr, one more repair on something…but, somehow…that oil jar…just as it looks like the last little teeny tiny drop is going to fall out…is replenished…not necessarily the way I want…but it is. You know, when we started this link…I had no idea what God was going to do with it. I love the way He has lead our posts to correspond…and I wonder…if those who do read them…realize….while we love each other dearly, our lives have become busy…we talk on the phone…not as often as we would like…but, we don’t discuss our posts…or what we are going to write….He is at work in us!!! LOVE YOU!
I don’t know if they realize it or not, but it’s just like Him that it often works out that way! You’re right, the last drop doesn’t run dry, even though it looks like it’s going to. He is faithful beyond my comprehension.
What a wonderful gift. We’re slowing down and taking the boys through Truth in the Tinsel this Christmas. Focusing on this wonderful gift!
Amanda,
I’ve been thinking about Truth in the Tinsel…may have to get it today….and scramble a little…sounds like a GREAT way to celebrate with little ones…and my little one keeps having to step up to do what Big Bro/sister do. Thanks for being such a great friend…..you truly are in my prayers!!!
I am so glad that we have the opportunity for the gift of eternal life. God made the ultimate sacrifice by sending his Son to a horrible death. I am learning to treasure this gift and share it with others. We need to remember what this season is truly all about and embrace it. The material things will waste away, but the love of Jesus, if we accept it, is ours for eternal life. Thank you for this reminder.
