Happy 4th of July everyone!
The fourth of July can be an exciting time for a family. It is generally one of the few days families can get together and have some fun.
That fun can be enhanced by truly understanding why we celebrate the 4th of July.
This year, before you begin your party, take time to read about the Declaration of Independence.

And…don’t forget to take advantage of my free history lessons to learn more about all of our founding documents!

Why? My guess is that most of us celebrate it, not because we actually think we’re in any meaningful sense free anymore, but because we hope to be in the future, and look wistfully on a past when we were. Happy Independence Day. No King but Christ!
Great post – thanks for sharing – we are thankful for the freedom to get together and fellowship (with you) this happy 4th of July!
I think so few people actually think about what the 4th is REALLY about.
Hope you guys had a good day!
