Get Up Early
It was an early summer morning when my youngest (then 3) came running into my room and saying “Sun’s up, Mommy! It’s time to get up!”
I did not want to get up. My body was tired and my mind was numb. It had been a long year. We moved twice within 12 months, 4 months after our second move my Mother passed away and my children had more energy than the energizer bunny.
Me, I.just.wanted.to.stay.in.bed.
I never imagined being ‘there’ as a Mommy. I had longed for children-even begged for them after I lost our first baby……
Today, I am guest posting over at The Focused Homemaker. Join me there for the rest of this post and learn how God used a mentor and this verse to transform my mornings.

Headed over there now. I’m sure I’ll be blessed. <3
I must say, I love your website! (Promise I am not a spammer!) I found you on the January blog hop! I love the lay out and the encouragement you offer! I can relate to your exhausted feelings. I haven’t read the rest yet but will in a sec and then comment more haha!
Just read it. Amazing! And I am not just saying that! It was wonderful and inspirational! Thank you!
Stephanie, thanks! I had to giggle at your (Promise I am not a spammer)-welcome and thank you for your words of encouragement.
Heading over there right now, friend!
Lisa, I hope you enjoyed it and I have a confession – I slept in this am…. Trying to find a groove in life again right now. there are always seasons of change – I seem to be in one!
I love you! And I love how God continues to shape you. Your family is so blessed, and your children will be grown one day with their own children, reflecting back, and having such beautiful memories of a mama who was so loving and devoted.
My friend, this is pure love. I’m sharing this with my #hellomornings group! Thank you! Love you!
I’m a little sad you won’t be in my group – but thankful to know we’ll still encourage one another in the morning. I know your group will be very blessed! I LOVE YA bunches
