It’s been a few years since I really began praying. At first, I spent a few minutes in the morning and evening focusing on scripture and what God wanted me to learn. Then, I began praying more throughout the day. Not just when reading scripture but anytime I needed guidance or peace. Prayer is now an ongoing conversation in my mind with my Heavenly Father.
A conversation to learn about my Father and His will for my life.
A time to submit my will and life to His plan for His purpose and glory.
It seems so easy and to a child it is. Perhaps that is why we are told it takes the faith of a child to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven (Luke 18:17).
After I discovered the peace brought about by these daily prayers, I wanted to create something to share with everyone that would help Mothers find that same peace during their hectic days. My heart began to yearn to sit with you in your comfy chair and pray with you. I know this is something God has placed in my heart. As an introvert, I am not one for small talk. But, if there is a discussion about faith, family, being a wife or a Mom, my heart wants to explode with joy and pray over each woman, wife and Mom.
Hence, the birth of the Homeschool Mother’s Prayer Journal - A New School Year. Soon, there will be more. This will be a series of journals you (and your family) will be able to use throughout the year. This first book has a special forward by my dear friend Rachael Carman . I met Rachael almost three years ago before I first attended Real Refreshment. She has been a blessing to me and to many other Homeschool Moms around the world. You can find Rachael at His Sunflower and you can hear her speak at Real Refreshment – Living Water in Atlanta (Feb 21-22) and Baltimore (March 7-8). I will be attending the event in Atlanta and would love to meet and pray with you there!
This eBook includes journal pages and scripture focusing on: Family, Schedules, Curriculum, Fear and Doubt, Depression, Anger and Praise. In addition to the journal pages, I have also included some activities to help you identify ways you can increase your family’s focus on God and implement His will for your family. This journal can be used by the entire family to grow you closer, as a family to our Heavenly Father.
It’s available now for purchase – $2.99. I pray it blesses you and brings peace and a desire to dig deeper into the Word that our Father gave us to learn more about Him.
Just a few of the recommendations for the eBook:
Rachael Carman Apologia and Real Refreshment (author and speaker): “I have the great joy and delight to commend to you this prayer journal. I believe you will find it to be a wonderful resource, whether you’re about to take your first steps on the homeschool journey or you’ve been traveling this road for many years…..” (quote from the forward of the Homeschool Mother’s Prayer Journal)
Leslie Nunnery – Teach Them Diligently Conference “Slow down, homeschool Mama! Let your heart be still and focus on what is most needful in your life. Rebecca Brandt has written a wonderful book that is certain to calm your heart and refocus your thoughts on what’s really important. With short but very pertinent passages of scripture to study and meditate on each morning, you will find no excuse for missing your quiet time alone with God. God is certain to use this resource greatly in your life, as He has in mine. I cannot recommend it highly enough.”
Cindy - Get Along Home ““I love this prayer journal! Rebecca knows exactly what is on the heart of a homeschooling mom at the beginning of a new (or not-so-new) year, and knows just how to address them–through prayer and relevant Bible study.”
Karen Bible Based Homeschooling - “Rebecca from Mom’s Mustard Seeds is the real deal. Her heart is true and authentic and her love for the Lord shines through in her writing. I have been blessed abundantly by her words many times”
